Good news if you're a Vancouver Canucks fan. They beat the Ottawa Senators on Monday night by a 4-2 margin, rolling along to their sixth win a row. The bad news? Defenseman Keith Ballard injured his leg in brutal fashion when he became tangled up along the boards with Senators forward Milan Michalek.
The result: ugliness only Joe Theismann's leg could love.

No official word on the extent of the injury yet, but Canucks coach Alain Vigneault said after the game that Ballard will undergo and MRI on Tuesday. Here's hoping it isn't as bad as it looked. And speaking of how it looked, the folks at Deadspin have a particularly disturbing image of the injury, which is also not for the squeamish (you've been warned again).
